Divorce today, in the 21st century, is almost a norm. A large percentage of marriages are ending in divorce today. When a relationship is happy and exciting and new, it often seems like it could never end.
The rate of divorce in Jamaica is increasing. Under Jamaican law a valid marriage may be terminated only by the death of one of the parties or by a decree of dissolution or divorce; a Decree Absolute pronounced by a court of competent jurisdiction.
Broken contracts relatively frequently occur. This is probably because the legal system can be a confusing place to navigate, and contract law in particular can be downright frightening.
